Club News – Manager

The Haviland Club Manager Jamie Larkin tendered his resignation last week and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.  A new Manager will be recruited in the coming weeks. Come out and meet our new bar steward.. Angela Farmer.. She is awesome!!!

Dinner at 6 pm

MENU: Garden Salad

Roast beef, duchess potatoes, root vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, with gravy

Dessert ~ to be confirmed.

Price: $20.00 / person.. Sign up and pay at the bar ASAP.  It’s gonna be good!!!!

After the dinner, if everyone could stay around for a brainstorming session as to where do you see your Club in the future.  Your feedback provided will also be discussed.. Thank you everyone for your feedback.

Friday April 17 MEMBERS SOCIAL. Chilli, rolls, and tortilla chips will be        served. Now that “Spring” is here, (hopefully!!!) it’s time to brush the cob webs off and come out and enjoy “Your Club” with friends.  We do look forward to seeing you here!

Monday, April 20 – Sean Kemp and Chris Corrigan

The duo’s repertoire includes original instrumentals, gypsy jazz, and cover tunes, including songs by Chas Guay, Lennie Gallant, The Beatles, The Kinks and Garbage.  Sean’s album Moscow Madness was nominated for an ECMA, and he has performed with Lennie Gallant, Classified, Sir Neville Mariner and John Connolly to name a few.  Chris has toured and recorded with acts such as Thom Swift, Nathan Wiley, Rita MacNeil, Mary Jane Lamond and Lennie Gallant. He has appeared on over 100 recordings and is the recipient of the ECMA 2006 Musician’s Achievement Award.

And don’t forget Jon’s group guitar lessons every Monday, 7 PM. Everyone welcome; price $10 for members and $20 for non-members. This fun shared program really works. Family and other guests are welcome.

Saturday, April 25 – Debut: Sean Kemp and the Atlantic String Machine

April 25 will mark the debut of Island-based Atlantic String Machine, a new professional string group. Atlantic String Machine is comprised of Artistic Director Sean Kemp, violin, Karen Graves, violin, Jeffrey Jones, viola, Natalie Williams Calhoun, cello and Louis Garson, double bass. With a diverse repertoire ranging from Bach to contemporary pop and rock, the musicians can perform as a stand-alone quintet or support other artists. Source:
