Farringford House, home of the Haviland Community Hub and gathering place since 1997.
Our social gathering place is located at no.2 Haviland Street, in the former residence, built in 1869, of Esther Full-Lowden and her 3 daughters. Esther was a young widow, business woman and single parent of the 19th century.
The Haviland has been serving our community for the last quarter century and was established in 1997 by a group of socially minded people.
Our Social Community Hub philosophy is modern and progressive, with a positive outlook on life. We are diverse, multicultural, inclusive and welcoming, composed of people of all backgrounds. Our members are Canadians from all over our beautiful country who made PEI their home. Our Membership is composed of women and men equally. Several Not of Profit groups also enjoy the benefits of membership.
Our contribution to our community as a social hub has been recognized with patronages from prominent citizens of PEI.
