A REMINDER from the Club President, Tim Rose

I am pleased and honoured to announce to all of you that Her Honour Antoinette Perry,

Lieutenant-Governor of PEI, has graciously granted to the Haviland Club, Vice-Regal Patronage.

It is a single honour for us as members and recognizes the social role of the Haviland Club in our community.

Headlines/Reminders/Upcoming Events

  • If any members have an event or idea that they would like to see happening at the Club please feel free to bring it forward to the manager, your fellow club members or the social committee, and let’s try and make it happen. Remember this is your Club and the more we all get involved to plan an event, or volunteer at an event, the better our Club will be. Let’s work together to make this the best season yet.
  • As you know we are trying to gather some much-needed equipment and tools for the kitchen. An open letter was sent out last week to all members with a wish list of items, this list is also posted on the bulletin board in the Tap Room at the Club.

Please see Marie H. if you have something you would like to donate for the kitchen.  Thank You all.

“The idea for a Crossing Over series came from the desire to explore genre transition,” explains PEI Writers’ Guild president Mo Duffy Cobb. “Over the next few months, the Guild will host workshops in screenwriting, playwriting, and songwriting—exploring the techniques of writing in each genre.”

Duffy Cobb said the workshops will appeal to those who wish to break into a particular genre, but who may not be familiar with genre-specific writing conventions.
