Thursday, January 31st. As you drive along University Avenue, past the agriculture research station, have you ever wondered about the future of this land – which is open green space at the moment? Most research has been moved to the Harrington area. In the past there has been talk of a golf course, restaurants, university expansion, etc on this land. One organization, Friends of the Farm, has campaigned (successfully) to preserve this green space, which is now in the centre of the greater Charlottetown area. Our guest will be Nora Jenkins, President, Friends of the Farm. Nora will review past efforts to preserve the land and buildings, and talk about the future.
