Headlines/Reminders/Upcoming Events
 If any members have an event or idea that they would like to see happening at the Club please feel free to bring it forward to the manager, your fellow club members or the social committee and let’s try and make it happen. Remember this is your Club and the more we all get involved to plan an event, or volunteer at an event, the better our Club will be. Let’s work together to make this the best season yet. Your Social/Committee consists of Julie Charlebois, Sue Stanger, Marie Hunt and Cathy Butler.

 FRIDAY NOVEMBER 29 – SUPPER/SOCIAL WITH SPECIAL MUSICAL GUESTS. Bar opens at 4 p.m. and the Supper/Music at 6 p.m. and onward.
Come out and enjoy a dinner of Chicken Enchiladas served with Mexican Rice. Cost of supper is $9.00. All members and their guests are welcome. Dinner prepared by Marie. We will be hosting some local musicians, Tim McCulloch on Guitar and Brian Bradley on Guitar and Drum. They will be playing for your enjoyment, Latin inspired soft rock, for example, Santana, Steely Dan, Bob Dylan. They are playing for Free, however, we will have a Tip Jar, so if you enjoy the music please contribute. Thank you.
As normal we encourage everyone to reserve your dinner by either calling or emailing the Club or signing up in the Tap Room. We require the reservations to be made by noon on Wednesday Nov. 27th in order to ensure we purchase and prepare the proper amount of food. Come on out and support this social and enjoy some great food, good music and the company of your fellow members.
 Thursday Coffee and Conversation 10 a.m. This event happens every Thursday and are coordinated by your member Bert Christie

Thursday Nov 28th – There will be a special celebration to honour Grace Nicholson. We have been told that Grace was one of the first ladies to become a member of the Haviland Club; and that was in 2001. Grace lives with family members in a house on Water St next to our club, and of course will be joining with us on Thursday the 28th.
Next week Dec 5th – Our guest will be Jennifer Evans, from Ocean 100. Ocean 100 is located in the Atlantic Technology Centre on University Avenue. You may have seen the employees doing a broadcast as you passed by the building.
Last week on Nov 21: Our guest was Donald Andrus, an artist, Donald was introduced by his friend, Laurent Beaulieu. Donald gave an interesting talk about his early life and struggles as an artist, and showed a couple of his paintings.
Future Dates – I would welcome any suggestions for our program in the new year – Bert Christie
On November 14th the guest was Peter Richards, managing editor, The Buzz. During the writing of the newsletter there was an error in stating that “We all agreed that The Buzz is not a part of PEI. I would like to reiterate that this was a typing error. It was meant to state that “We all agreed the BUZZ is a part of PEI! Thank you, Julie Charlebois
